Covers manufacturing faults — a weld, a hinge, a frame that fails in normal use, a seam or a zip that goes. We repair it, send the part, or replace the piece.
It doesn't cover chewing, scratching, damage from misuse, or anything loaded past its stated weight limit. Nor does it cover normal wear: sisal fraying is the post doing its job, and carpet treads mat down with use.

The tree for the cat who has stopped climbing
Not every cat wants to be at ceiling height. An older cat, a heavy cat, or a cat who has started hesitating wants good levels close together, not eight spread over six feet.

Why a shorter tree.

|---|---|---|---|
| Between levels | A short hop | A leap | A choice of gaps |
| For an older cat | What it is aimed at | Often too tall | Needs fixing to a wall |

About Elm Solid Wood Cat Tree, 43" Tall with Close-Set Levels for Older Cats
Not every cat wants to be at ceiling height. An older cat, a heavy cat, or a cat who has started hesitating before the jump wants three good levels close together, not eight spread over six feet. Elm is a solid wood cat tree about 43 inches tall (110 cm), roughly waist height, with the platforms spaced so each step is a short hop rather than a leap.
Sisal posts run between the levels and there is a cubby at the base. The frame is solid wood rather than veneered board, so it takes the landings and stays square. It is the low cat tree you buy when the tall one has become a thing your cat looks at rather than climbs.
Set it beside a bed or a couch an older cat has stopped jumping onto and it doubles as a set of steps.
Why Elm works for older and heavier cats
- 43-inch height (110 cm)about waist height, so the top is a short climb, not an expedition.
- Close-set platformseach step is a short hop, which is what a hesitant cat needs.
- Solid wood framenot veneered board; takes a heavy landing and stays square.
- Wide basestable for a big cat.
- Sisal posts between levelssomething to scratch on the way up.
- Cubby at the basea place to hide.
- Compact footprintfor rooms where a tall tower would dominate.

Will it fit?
At about 43 inches it is roughly waist height; check the dimensions diagram in the photos for the base. It is a cat tree for older cats, heavier cats and rooms where a tall tower would dominate. For a young athletic cat it may be too short to hold their interest; look at Redwood or Steeple instead.
Questions about a solid wood cat tree
Is it too short to be interesting?
For a young athletic cat, possibly. Elm is aimed at older, heavier and less confident cats, and at rooms where a tall tower would dominate.
Will it take a big cat?
Solid wood frame, wide base, close-set levels. Yes.
How hard is it to build?
Bolt-together, around half an hour.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the solid wood with a damp cloth and vacuum the platforms and cubby. The sisal posts fray with use; trim loose strands rather than pulling them.
How long does shipping take?
Free tracked shipping on every US order. Orders ship within 1–3 business days and arrive 6–15 business days door to door. US only.
What if it's the wrong height?
Send it back within 30 days of delivery, unused and in its original packaging, for a refund. If it arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, we cover the return shipping.

| Who it fits | Older, heavier or less confident cats. Waist height at 110 cm with the levels a short hop apart — for a young athletic cat it may be too short to hold their interest. | Big cats — maine coons, ragdolls, anything around 20 lb. Five perches, a hammock and a condo over 67 inches; three cats use it comfortably, more and they queue. | Cats of any size, big ones included — a timber frame rather than cardboard tube, on a wide base. Open perches with a view, plus one enclosed box to disappear into. | Cats of any size, in a room with no floor to spare. It braces floor to ceiling, so measure that exact spot first — and it needs a flat ceiling, not sloped or textured. |
