Which size does your dog need?
Measure your dog nose to tail lying stretched out and add about six inches so he can straighten out rather than curl to fit. Large (39 x 30 in) suits roughly 55 to 88 lb; X-Large (47 x 33) is for bigger or longer dogs; XX-Large (53 x 39) is for giant breeds or two dogs who share. The Large sleeping surface inside the bolsters is 29.1 x 23.4 inches, so measure against that, not the outside. It is a firm bed. A dog used to a soft one may take a week to settle, and it is not the bed for a dog who wants to sink into stuffing.
